Fair play with your data too

Your privacy

We collect points, not unnecessary data. Here's what we store about you and why.

Who looks after your data

The data controller is SEPIA SOFT s.r.o., Company ID 04491254, VAT ID CZ04491254, registered office at Krymská 238/18, Prague 10, Czech Republic, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, file no. C 248566.

For anything about your data, write to us at [email protected].

What we remember and why

For your account, we store your email, nickname, chosen avatar and game results. They are used for logging in, pre-filling your player profile and your game history, and also for taking part in leagues. We record the date your account was created and your last login.

We process the data to provide the service you request by using your account. You don't need an account just to play.

How long we keep data

We keep account data until you delete your account. You can do that right on your profile page. We delete your email and profile; game results stay anonymous, with no link to your account.

Who delivers emails

We send login emails through Postmark (ActiveCampaign), which acts as a data processor. We pass on your email address and the message content needed to deliver the link.

Errors and game statistics

We send app errors (on the server and in the TV and phone browsers) to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) with data stored in the EU (Germany). A report contains a description of the error, the page, the browser and the game version, but not your IP address, email or nickname. It is used only to fix bugs.

For gameplay statistics we send PostHog, with data stored in the EU, anonymous events about a game: creating, starting, finishing or abandoning it, the number of players and computer players, pace, theme, sabotage and other settings. Only our server sends them, with a random game identifier, without nicknames, emails or IP addresses and without cookies in your browser.

Both services act as data processors. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and making it better.

Cookies needed for the game

Essential cookies keep you logged in, protect forms and recognise your TV or phone in a game in progress. A device can remember your login for up to a year; logging out ends it. Your browser stores your light or dark mode choice locally.

A login on another device via QR code or code lasts 3 days at most. Your profile shows the device name and expiry, and lets you log it out remotely.

Daily Five uses the same anonymous device ID (cb_device) to save your attempt and weekly progress. Shared links reveal your score, not your device ID.

Your data, your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction, erasure, restriction of processing or portability. Depending on the circumstances, you can object to the processing. If something doesn't seem right, get in touch with us; you can also file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
